Dumfries and Galloway Vintage
Machinery Club
The
club was set up for people with an interest in vintage agricultural
machinery, whether it
is tractors, stationary engines or implements.
It
was formed in October 1976 when a group of like minded friends placed
an advert in the local paper inviting anybody
interested along to a meeting.
Following
that meeting a committee was formed and the club was born. The club
meets once a month at Dumfries Rugby Club.
See
the pane to
the right or our Club Diary for
dates
and times.
New
members are always welcome but you don't have to be a member if you
would like to attend a meeting which is of interest to you. We hold an
annual
Rally and Working Day where enthusiasts from far and near can display
their items of interest and hard work.
The
club produces a bi-annual newsletter which is free to all members and
includes articles, reviews and information written by club members.
The
club also holds a library of literature, videos and DVD's which club
members are welcome to hire.
Membership
runs from November to November. If you wish to join simply print off an
Application
Form and post it to us.

The
club has close ties with many similar organisations. Our vice chairman,
Billy Gordon, is a World Ploughing Association Board Member and founder
member Robert Copland
is a director of the European Ploughing Association.
